Music’s given me lessons that I never received in person.

Here are a few lessons I’ve learnt from some of my favourite albums I that are important for my people to understand, in order for us to build Wealth. And when I say my people I’m talking about Islanders, those of Colour and those that don’t come from Money.

Nipsey’s Victory Lap and Jay’s 4:44 - Fuck designer, chains and the watches. Take care of your family first. The more you out here trying to show, the less you have.

Beyonce’s Lemonade - No relationship perfect regardless the amount of wealth you attain. Find someone who’s gonna check you, hold it down and grow with you. Stop looking for all that “Wifey” and “Bae” nonsense. Look for a Life Partner.

J Cole’s Forest Hill Drives - Love Yourz! Beauty in the struggle. Embrace it. Period.

I’m going to make sure that if I have kids they get this from me directly, instead of having to learn this through music first.
