This a shoutout to all the Single Mothers out there and siblings who have had to step up and take on a parenting role.
Majority of my childhood I grew up without a Mother and was then raised by my 2 sisters (2 Queens) so I got an idea what its like. Ya’ll do it tough I seeee you, keep doing your thing… keep your head up!
But why I wanted to post prior to Mothers day is because it’s this week I recall as a school kid, that was always awkward and confusing as Mothers Day approaches. Thinking to myself as a kid every damn year can ya’ll change the fucking name of this day? Shit was confusing having to write a Mothers Day card in every school subject this week, having to attend the gift shop that school would organise to buy a Mothers Day gift. Same shit applied to Parent teacher interview knowing damn well ain’t no Parent available. For all them kids in a similar position this week who will probs never see or read this i feeel you! Keep your head up?
So shoutout to the single mothers, siblings taking on a parenting role and all the kids without a mother who may be a little confused this week.
